By this time of year, we would usually have held a few local stalls and events by now, since this is a great way to meet our customers and make connections. We are missing this interaction, as we expect you are as well, a chance to hear about our customer’s needs, products you like (or dislike) and to make plans based on feedback. Events are not only a great way to generate income, they’re an opportunity to promote our business locally and across the UK.
This is the same for many charities big and small, and no different for our partner charity WastAid during the current lockdown. We partnered up with WasteAid last year, pledging to donate 10% profits to support their amazing work. This means when you purchase products with Natural or Nothing, not only are your new products eco friendly and plastic free, but it allows your money to grow projects which are working towards a more sustainable future.
Many small, local business and charities, like ourselves, our now reliant on online only means to promote, create revenue or raise funds. They say charity starts at home, so please consider using a small or more local business if possible, as they will really appreciate it right now.
To further support our UK partner charity WasteAid during this difficult time, one of the Natural or Nothing sisters Kat is raising money by completing the WasteAid Virtual Safari challenge. The challenge is to complete 10 x 100 minutes of exercise to make your way around Lake Naivasha (75km) virtually. Kat is going to be running, cycling and walking to raise money for the charity in conjunction with celebrating her 30th birthday this month! Keep an eye on her progress with our social media.
So why not dust off your trainers, don your sporting gear and join the virtual safari individually or as a team. There are lots of videos, images, maps and activities to complete along the way, so you can be sure of a wildlife encounter or two on your safari. Be sure to use the #virtualsafari in any media you post so WasteAid can see your incredible effort. Check it out here.
Keep safe, keep supporting and keep going.
